Terms

We design and build a website of up to five pages for your business and we do not charge you for that work. What you do pay for is your own web hosting and your domain name, bought in your name, directly from the hosting company. We earn a commission from them, and that is what funds your build.

The hosting company sets its own prices and terms. Plans are normally paid upfront for the whole period, and the price advertised for the longest plan is not a monthly charge. Check the total before you buy — we will always tell you what to expect, but the transaction is between you and them.

The hosting account and the domain are registered to you, not to us. When the site is delivered it is yours to keep, move, change or hand to somebody else, at any time and without asking us. We hold nothing hostage.

We may show your finished website as an example of our work. If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will not.

Send us the material we need — your services, your areas, your logo if you have one — so the build can move. Anything you send has to be yours to use: text, photos and logos you own or have permission for. We cannot publish material that belongs to somebody else.

We take on a limited number of free builds each month, so we choose the projects we can do well. Applying does not guarantee a place, and we may say no — usually because we are full, or because the project needs more than five pages.

We build the site properly and we submit it to Google, but nobody can guarantee a search ranking — not us, and not anyone who tells you otherwise. What we do guarantee is the work: if something we built is broken, we fix it at no charge.

Once the site is on your hosting, keeping that hosting active is up to you. If the hosting lapses the site goes offline — that is the hosting company system, not ours.
